In 1984, a group of three (3) young dynamic Filipino entrepreneurs and one (1) young Taiwanese banded together and formed what was then Intercool "FRP" Industry, Inc. conceived to manufacture various kinds of Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) products as well as cooling towers between the four (4) young businessmen, whose expertise totals more than 70-years in manufacture of air-conditioning equipment and cooling towers, the company grew from little known and small beginning, to a big reputable outfit who now is on top of the cooling tower business if not the leading cooling tower supplier.

Intercool is the FRP cooling tower manufacturer who manufacture parts from the Philippines and imports moving parts from Taiwan, unlike other suppliers who are direct importers and all totally made in Taiwan cooling tower, However, Intercool only manufacture the following parts:
 

1. Steel Leg and circular steel frames;

2. Steel supports for motor/gearbox drives;

3. Lay-up of fiberglass casing with all materials imported;

4. Corrugation of imported plastic films into corrugated fillers with corrugation machine also imported from Taiwan;

5. Manufacture of sprinkler pipes using the best and heavy duty PVC plastic pipes;

6. All the rest, like gearbox, fan and hub, sprinkler head, PVC expanded air inlet louvers, and other items are all imported from Taiwan.
